    This is my favourite Christmas movie of all time. I never go a season without giving it a viewing or two. I'll watch the recent, i.e. color version with my kid because and I quote, "Ew! Black and white" but then I always make time to watch the original.

    It really was instrumental in driving my interest in classic film. Nothing about it felt dated to me when I saw it in high school. You're doing it right!
