Jamie and I went and saw Avengers: Infinity War (2018) again. And realized we were glad Thanos was not a fan of beat poetry.
I really liked it again. I don't know that I picked up on a lot that I missed the first time that wasn't just a joke or two, spotting the Arrested Development reference and really appreciating the acting choices made by our characters, including Mr. Brolin as Thanos - I love the combination of acting and artistry that worked for all the CGI characters in the movie.
It's been fun talking to people about the movie online and in-person. And if you see the movie at the Alamo Drafthouse anywhere in the country, I guess they're showing the managers of my Local Comic Shop, Austin Books and Comics, in the preshow - talking about the Avengers in comics. So, go see Brandon and Ty!
And special appreciation for Danai Gurira as General Okoye. She's so dang good.
