New "Smurfs" movie looks... unsmurfable...

At this late date, I can't believe movie trailers are using Tone Loc, or that Tone Loc hasn't decided that maybe that song has been overused in trailers.

Also, what are they saying about about Smurfette by choosing that song..?

This whole movie should have fallen under the category of, "just because you think of something (or remember something) doesn't mean it's a good idea."

The video doesn't work in the RSS feed you have to go to the Signal Watch to view it. I think this is a limitation placed on the embedded video by Yahoo!

Thank goodness my child has never seen a Smurfs show. Hopefully she'll won't want to see this either.

Always weird to mix the nostalgia porn with movies for kids for whom everything is new. I wonder what the "nostalgia/kid's movie plot generator" looks like, and if it also randomly selects one of the three songs used in trailers for kids' movies for the studio.

The real question is whether Neil Patrick Harris has fired his agent yet for setting up the opportunity to introduce the trailer to this film.
